Welterweight prospect Saul Alvarez (33-0-1, 25 KOs) remained undefeated Saturday night, stopping Luciano Cuello (26-2, 12 KOs) in the sixth round of a scheduled 12 round fight  at the Arena VFG in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

Alvarez dropped Cuello in the opening round and again in the second, from there the red-headed Mexican turned the fight into a one-sided beating for the remaining 4 rounds. In the sixth, The 19 year old "Canelo" landed a perfect left hook that stunned the already bloodied Cuello and followed it up with a flurry of shots, prompting the referee to step in and stop the punishment!

"Canelo" is set to apear on the undercard of Shane Mosley vs Sergio Mora on September 18 at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles Ca.

Calling the action along side the Mexican commentator was Oscar De La Hoya. Also in attendance was Legendary actor/singer Vicente "Chente" Fernandez who made it into the ring to congratulate Alverez.
